衣原体是最常见的细菌性性传播感染，也是最安静的。等症状出现不是找到它的方法，因为对多数人来说，症状永远不会出现。
- 异常分泌物、排尿灼痛，或性交疼痛
- 下腹痛，或睾丸疼痛与肿胀
- 肛交后直肠疼痛、分泌物或出血
- 伴侣确诊衣原体或任何其他性病
- 上次检测之后有了新伴侣，或不止一位
- 完全没有症状，但有性生活
约70%的女性与许多男性没有任何可以察觉的症状。这就是该检测而不是等待的全部理由。
会长在哪里，各个部位怎么检测
沙眼衣原体（Chlamydia trachomatis）经阴道性交、肛交与口交传播，也可在分娩时由母亲传给婴儿。多数人只需要一份尿液样本。
- 生殖道
- 最常见的部位。女性：异常分泌物、排尿灼痛、性交疼痛、下腹痛。男性：分泌物、灼痛，或睾丸疼痛与肿胀。一份尿液样本就能涵盖。
- 直肠
- 疼痛、分泌物或出血，但通常什么症状也没有。暴露情况指向这里时，以直肠拭子检测。
- 咽喉
- 几乎总是没有症状，只有在口交后专门采咽喉拭子才找得到。
- 眼睛
- 结膜炎，由接触受感染的体液引起。以眼部拭子检测。
衣原体的治疗，以及治疗周围要做的事
抗生素
单剂阿奇霉素（azithromycin），或为期一周的多西环素（doxycycline）。即使症状消退也要吃完整个疗程；提早停药有让感染复发的风险。
七天内避免性行为
单剂治疗之后七天；若是较长的疗程，则要等到疗程结束。
伴侣检测与治疗
无论伴侣有没有症状。否则您的疗程一结束，感染就会直接传回来。
数个月后复检
通常是明智的做法，因为从未治疗的伴侣再度感染，是衣原体复发最常见的原因。
为什么值得找出一个没有症状的感染
在女性身上，衣原体可以往上蔓延，引起骨盆腔发炎：慢性骨盆疼痛、发烧，以及输卵管疤痕化。那些疤痕正是输卵管性不孕的成因，也会提高子宫外孕的风险，也就是受精卵着床在受损的输卵管内，属于医疗急症。
在男性身上，它可能引起副睾炎：睾丸疼痛肿胀，有时伴随发烧，少数情况会留下永久损害。
这些在接受治疗的人身上都不常见。而它们的起点，全都是一个没有症状的感染。

The clinic is clean, the staff are professional and welcoming, incredibly efficient. The clinic interior design also calming and made my visits less anxious. The doctors here (Dr. Chan & Dr. Kon - sorry if misspelled) are very attentive, explain briefly to me what the do's and don'ts on after care treatments and for future preventions. The level of care provided was excellent, and the treatment received was highly effective. Healthcare environments can sometimes feel stressful, but this clinic has a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere.
