What we treat

Ten areas, and the list is worth reading rather than skimming: several of these are things people carry for years without knowing a physiotherapist is who treats them.

  • Back and neck pain, and spinal conditions
  • Hip and knee pain
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • De Quervain's tenosynovitis
  • Heel and ankle pain
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Antenatal and postnatal education

Not sure which of these describes your problem? That is what the free assessment is for. You do not have to name it before coming in.

How treatment is structured

  1. Check-up and assessment

Free, and with no obligation to continue. This is where the problem gets identified rather than assumed.

  2. Consultation

To agree what the problem actually is and what the plan looks like, including how long it is likely to take.

  3. A course of treatment

Tailored to the condition and to how you actually move, which is usually not how you think you move.

What physiotherapy is actually for

Physiotherapy restores and maintains mobility and function. Where pain relief treats the symptom, rehabilitation addresses the mechanics underneath it: lengthening tight muscles, restoring range of motion, strengthening what has weakened, and building enough endurance that the injury does not simply return.

Much of what walks in as a musculoskeletal problem starts with posture and habitual movement, which is where a course of treatment usually ends up focused.

What else the clinic does about joint pain

Physiotherapy is the first answer for most musculoskeletal problems. Where a joint has degenerated rather than been injured, there is more than one option.

Who you are dealing with

Your doctor
Every doctor here is named on this site with their training, and one of them is a Family Medicine Specialist on the National Specialist Register. You are seen by a doctor rather than assessed at a counter.
Your records
Held in the clinic's own encrypted system rather than on paper in a drawer, so the doctor seeing you has the rest of your history in front of them.
Your follow-up
Questions afterwards and repeat prescriptions go to the doctor who saw you, directly on WhatsApp rather than through a front desk.
Your time
Walk in any day until 8pm. The clinic has served Kepong Baru since 1981 and most of what is on this page is done in one visit.

Come in, or ask first

Walk in any time we are open (daily, 9:00am to 8:00pm), or send a message and ask whatever you need to ask before you do.
