NAD drip and NAD+ IV infusion in KL

NAD+ is a coenzyme every cell uses to turn food into energy. Levels fall with age, and infusing it is an attempt to restore them. It is given slowly, over a longer session than a standard drip, under medical supervision.

  • 2-4 hoursa session, deliberately slow
  • Supervisedthroughout, with the rate adjusted
  • No promisesabout ageing or longevity
  • Consultationbefore any dose is set

What NAD+ actually does

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, given here as a NAD drip, is involved in the reactions that release energy from food inside every cell, and in the enzymes that carry out DNA repair. Its concentration declines with age, and that decline is well documented.

What is not settled is the step after it: whether raising NAD+ by infusion produces the outcomes people hope for. The biology is a reasonable basis for trying. It is not the same thing as proof, and this page will not present it as such.

What a session involves

NAD+ is infused slowly. Given too quickly it commonly causes chest tightness, nausea, flushing or cramping, which is uncomfortable rather than dangerous and settles when the rate is reduced. That is why a session runs long and is supervised throughout.

  1. A consultation first

Covering your history and current medication. The dose is set here rather than sold in advance.

  2. The infusion

Typically two to four hours depending on the dose. Bring something to do.

  3. The rate adjusted

During the session, according to how you tolerate it. This is the part that decides whether it is comfortable.

  4. Observation

Before you leave, rather than being sent off the moment the bag empties.

Who it is not for

This is where a wellness treatment most needs a doctor rather than a menu.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Significant kidney or liver disease
  • Heart failure
  • An active infection
  • A cancer diagnosis

Bring your medication list. The consultation exists to establish whether this is reasonable for you, and declining to give it is a legitimate outcome of that conversation.

What we will and will not claim

Reported experiences include improved energy and mental clarity. Those reports are real, and they are also the kind of outcome most susceptible to expectation, which is precisely why careful trials matter and why the ones needed here do not yet exist at scale.

So there are no promises here about ageing, longevity or performance. If a clinic guarantees those from an infusion, that guarantee is not coming from the evidence. Be wary, too, of a fixed course sold before anyone has taken a history.

Who you are dealing with

Your doctor
Every doctor here is named on this site with their training, and one of them is a Family Medicine Specialist on the National Specialist Register. You are seen by a doctor rather than assessed at a counter.
Your records
Held in the clinic's own encrypted system rather than on paper in a drawer, so the doctor seeing you has the rest of your history in front of them.
Your follow-up
Questions afterwards and repeat prescriptions go to the doctor who saw you, directly on WhatsApp rather than through a front desk.
Your time
Walk in any day until 8pm. The clinic has served Kepong Baru since 1981 and most of what is on this page is done in one visit.

Come in, or ask first

Walk in any time we are open (daily, 9:00am to 8:00pm), or send a message and ask whatever you need to ask before you do.

Common questions

How long does an NAD+ infusion take?
Usually two to four hours, depending on the dose. It has to be given slowly, because infusing it quickly causes chest tightness, nausea and cramping.
How does it feel?
Most people feel little at a well-judged rate. Faster infusion causes a tight or flushed sensation, which settles as soon as the rate is reduced, and the rate is adjusted throughout for exactly that reason.
How many sessions do people have?
It varies, and it is set at the consultation. Be wary of a fixed course sold before anyone has taken a history.
Is NAD+ infusion proven?
The decline of NAD+ with age is well established. That infusing it delivers the benefits often claimed is not, and we would rather say so than sell you a certainty that does not exist.
Can I have it if I am on medication?
Possibly, but it needs checking first. Bring your current medication list to the consultation.
