What the ZSR stapler actually does

A conventional circumcision cuts the foreskin and closes the wound with stitches. That is two separate steps, and two separate sources of bleeding and infection risk.

The stapler does both at once. An inner cylinder sits under the foreskin, an outer ring closes onto it, and in one action the tissue is cut and the edges are sealed with a ring of fine staples. Because the cut and the closure happen together, the operating time is shorter and the wound edge is more even than a hand-sutured one. That evenness is most of the reason the cosmetic result tends to be neater.
